MySTATS is a property of Be
A Contender Sports Services.
Be A Contender originated as a series of hobby sites in 2000 by
software engineer and hockey fan Brad Barkhouse, based in Halifax,
Nova Scotia, Canada. Be A Contender's main web-based service focused
on offering skill-based casual games in a tournament format. The
very first such game happened to be a fantasy hockey salary-cap-style
pool named Red Light Hockey, which did moderately well for a number
of years. However, having dealt with the frustration of trying to
find affordable and reliable stats feeds, we eventually decided
to design and create our own stats engine. During that process,
we realized that a great many others had this same need. And so
MySTATS was born!
MySTATS was designed from the ground up to be as reliable, flexible,
and affordable as possible. We believe that no other stats feed
service even comes close. In fact, we even include its underpinnings
in our LeagueManager service, to be used by independent leagues
everywhere. Our focus continues to be on providing the highest level
of sports statistics, whether you're an independent webmaster or
running a large online fantasy sports service. We hope you find
MySTATS as useful as we do.
